Altcoins

The word altcoin refers to cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin.

Altcoins are also blockchain-based cryptocurrencies and allow P2P decentralized transactions. Although altcoins share similarities, they are also very different in terms of technology or goals.

For example, Ether, XRP, or Litecoin are altcoins.
